Camp was a lot of fun. At first I thought it would be hard and a lot of work! Turns out that it was fun and not to hard, but it taught us a lot about nature and how to survive. One of my favorite classes was orientation. I loved learning about the compass and when we went through the woods I enjoyed it a lot! I also enjoyed being able to learn about the Miwoks in their own habitat! It was pretty cool! I wonder what it would have been like to be a Miwok? I bet it was hard having to gather your own food and to hunt it. Luckily I am a girl so I would just gather! haha. I am glad we are one of the lucky schools that get to go to camp and the best part is that it was an entire week!!!!!!!

6th Grade Camp

Camp was really fun!! There was a rock climbing wall, archery, and lots of hikes!
It was great, we had a survival hike and were able to build the first steps of a shelter,
learn some berries that are eatable, and got to build a fire!!! We also went on the
Giant Sequoia hike and learned all of the names of the trees there, plus we learned
interesting facts about some of the trees.

There were also the cabins. Four bunk beds and a cot in the middle. You also had
little nooks that were also the steps in the center of the double bunk beds. You also
had to sweep and clean them every morning. But if you had to go to the bathroom
you would have to get out of the cabin and walk there.

There were also the people who worked there. They were usually fun and descriptive.
They were very cool. There was also the cabin leaders. Usually were two per cabin
and usually a parent of some student. They were usually kind and helpful. Over all
camp was great and exciting!!
