Hardy boys: Blown away

Hardy Boys: Blown Away, by Frank Dixon, is not set in the usual Bayport. Instead, the Hardys are on Spring Break up in Lake Tahoe, skiing their hearts out. Over the course of the Spring Break, the Hardy Boys receive a mission from ATAC, or American Teens Against Crime. Apparently, it has been figured out that the Billington Hotel in Pheonix, Arizona, is at risk of being blown to bits. Frank and Joe Hardy must locate the bomb and call in the bomb diffusal team that is standing by. The bomb was planted by an environmental terrorist, Ashley McGill, who apparently does not like the wastefulness employed by the new owner of the hotel.
Ashley is an environmentalist. In the beginning of the book, the Hardy boys run into her, where she freely expressed her ideas. She states that the Billington uses 2x as much water as it did with the old owner, and that Jake Beller (new owner) is buying up much of the beautiful desert land around Phoenix, so he can develop malls and houses there. But at the end of the book, it turns out she went too far with the environmentally, when it is figured out that she planted the bomb in the disco ball of the ballroom. She then said that she thought the police would have evacuated the guests at the hotel, but then she is proven wrong when she figured out that Beller thought the bomb threat was fake. As she is escorted to a squad car, she states that she works for the aggressive environmentalist terrorist group called Ecology First.
